Summer school on Secure and Trustworthy Computing

Bucharest, Romania | September 23-27, 2015

Call for Participation

The EU FP7 PRACTICE project in collaboration with the Polytechnic Institute Bucharest organizes a summer school on topics related to Secure and Trustworthy Computing. The PRACTICE project aims to build a secure cloud framework that allows for the realization of advanced and practical cryptographic and security technologies providing sophisticated security and privacy guarantees for all parties in cloud computing scenarios.

Description and Topics: This summer school aims to introduce the participants to a large spectrum of theoretical underpinnings and practical aspects associated to secure and trustworthy computing that are vital in the context of secure cloud computing. The lectures cover s wider range of topics from advanced cryptography to system security:  secure multi-party computation, searchable encryption, hardware security and new trends (e.g., Intel’s SGX), runtime attacks (e.g., return oriented programming), etc.

Target Audience: The primary audience are PhD students working on topics closely related to the focus of the school. Advanced Master students, academic researchers and industrial participants are welcome, but since the number of places is limited, they should clarify the benefit of attending the school.
